I entered my first DJ Competition for Art For Progress, an events based non-profit art community that supports multi-discpline artists. The voting was done online for 4 weeks!

The competition was for fashion designers, live music djs, short films, and visual artists. The prize for DJs was a playoff spot in the top three in the event showcase, and then the ultimate winner wins a slot to play at the Winter Music Conference in Miami in March. 

Unfortunately, I didnt win, BUT :: I DID GET AN HONORABLE MENTION!! I came in 4th, and I was  the highest placing female. So, who can complain about that for their first competition? The mix I submitted was DiscoTech04.

"DJ Loka gets an honorable mention for her mix because she keeps the energy high throughout with solid track selection, just enough vocals, and plenty of tribal drums".
